¿Y por qué Bruce Springsteen participó en "The wrestler"?

Ayer publicamos un post narrando la forma divertida de cómo se conocieron y decidieron hacer "The wrestler" juntos Darren Aronofsky y Mickey Rourke. Sin embargo, en una entrevista para la web slashfilm.com, el director comenta también las razones por las cuales Bruce Springsteen accedió a crear una canción para el film:

"Bueno, Bruce Springsteen hizo la canción por una razón. Y no tiene nada que ver conmigo. De hecho, para ser sinceros, me reuní con Bruce, y él había oído hablar de mí, lo cual es muy halagador, pero nunca había visto nada de mi trabajo. Él lo hizo por una razón, y esa razón era Mickey. Él es un gran amigo de Mickey. Es un gran fan de él y cuando oyó que él haría esta película, consideraba que esto era lo que llevaba buscando Mickey durante mucho tiempo. Así que él quería ayudar, y esa es la única razón por la cual lo hizo. Y lo hizo, básicamente, por nada a cambio"
